What We’re Looking For:
At OC Global Women’s Conference, we are always looking to be at the forefront of the women’s conference circuit. We review many submissions for each show, so here are some tips to aide you in your submission.
- Tactics & Takeaways
Keep in mind that our attendees are looking for tangible takeaways that they can implement when they return to their lives.
- Fresh and Innovative Perspectives
We are always keen to present fresh and unique content at OC Global Women’s Conference. It is important for our conference to offer educational presentations that are geared towards our diverse community in Orange County. Please don’t submit the same presentations that are at other women’s networking conference.
- Hot Topics and New Takes on an Existing Topic
As you know, women’s issues and topics are constantly changing and evolving – we want to ensure that the OC Global Conference agenda will feature the hottest topics. Submitting a new topic idea or a new take on an existing topic is always a winner.
- Videos of Previous Speaking Gigs
The conference Steering Committee enjoys seeing speakers in action! If you are able to provide a video link in your submission, it will aide your proposal in the selection process.
- Don’t Pitch Products or Services
Attendees come to OC Global Women’s Conference to hear unbiased presentations and we do not tolerate pitches for any kind of products and services in our sessions. Please keep your submission and presentation focused purely on education. Being a speaker at the OC Global Women’s Conference and showcasing your thought leadership on the subject you are presenting is truly the best advertisement for your business. Every speaker will have the opportunity to sell their products in the OC Global Marketplace and/or have book signing opportunities throughout the day.
- Bio and Abstract Formats
When filling out the submission form, please write your bio and abstract in the third person, as it would be listed on our website. Remember, even if you are making a proposal for an existing session that already has an abstract, you MUST provide an abstract with your submission detailing what content you would like to bring to that session.

By submitting the speaker proposal form, you agree to the following speaker requirements and restrictions:
Vendor-neutral content. Your presentation may contain no “sales pitches” or sales-oriented material. Although positive exposure is generally a natural side-effect of presenting, your session must contain content that the audience may benefit from without necessarily buying any particular product or service. Speakers will have an opportunity to have a vendor table available to them, or an opportunity to sell their published materials and/or participate at the conference book signing.
Travel expenses. Coastline Community College does not have a budget to cover speaker travel expenses. However, we do offer overnight stay at the Hilton Anaheim, if desired. You certify that you have secured funds (or secured authorization of funds, where applicable) to fully cover your travel expenses, as needed in order to speak at the conference.
Speaker Cancellation. You certify that you have the means and opportunity to attend and present at the OC Global Women’s Conference, and that you have attained any pertinent authorization, such as that of your employer, prior to submitting the speaker submission form.
Agents and PR Staff. If the person completing the speaker submission form is not the speaker (e.g. an agent, assistant, or PR staff), you must enter both your email address, as well as the speaker’s, as indicated on the form. You certify that you are authorized as an agent to submit the speaker proposal form on the speaker’s behalf, and that the speaker has been consulted regarding and willing to agree to, the provisions listed here. Upon acceptance, the speaker will be required to explicitly agree to these provisions via the OC Global Women’s Conference Speaker Agreement.
We begin reviewing submissions and notifying speakers during the months leading up to an event – don’t wait until the last minute to submit! Please do not hesitate to contact conference staff at [email protected] with any questions or concerns.
